Hendy continues to invest in its franchise team with the appointment of Andy Meaden as franchise manager for Kia and Suzuki.

Commercial director Mark Busby said Meaden’s experience as Hendy’s Ford franchise manager puts him in an unrivalled position to look after Kia and Suzuki.

“These are both expanding brands for us as a group and we are delighted that Andy will be overseeing development at dealerships across the south coast,” said Busby.

Meaden's appointment comes at a time of investment and expansion for Hendy which is set to launch three new dealerships in Hampshire, including a new Kia dealership in Eastleigh. He has also just opened new Suzuki facilities in Crawley and recently opened a new flagship Kia dealership in Portsmouth.

Meaden joined the motor industry as a sales executive in 1986, aged 18. Since progressing to sales manager in 1994, he has worked with a range of Ford, Kia and other franchises in a number of senior roles – including general sales manager, group sales manager, group franchise sales manager, general manager and regional general manager, within the UK and overseas.

“I am thrilled to be continuing my work with Hendy, as franchise manager for its Kia and Suzuki brands,” said Meaden. “I thoroughly enjoyed my previous role with the company, looking after Hendy Ford, and this experience will stand me in very good stead for my new position here. These are exciting and increasingly popular brands, and I’m looking forward to showcasing them to our customers over the coming months and years.”
