The UK’s fastest growing convenience store chain, Central Convenience Stores, has appointed Lee Peck Media as its PR and marketing agency. Ringwood-based Central was founded in 2012 and already has more than 60 stores in its target territory, the south and South West.

It has ambitious plans to add a further 60 stores by the end of 2016 and, over the next five years, to have 300 stores bordered by the M23, M25, M4 and M5.

Central operates three brands, covering the varied requirements of shoppers in the convenience, newsagent and petrol station sector.

In addition to the managed store chain, Central has developed a franchise opportunity to help support local retailers. The aim is to provide an offering centred on the best national brands alongside locally-sourced products, suited to the individual store location and consumer base.

Central’s commercial director Tony Start said: “We recognise that to support our growth we need a cohesive marketing strategy. As part of our plan we are delighted to announce we have appointed Lee Peck Media to look after our marketing and PR requirements particularly as we look to drive the franchise part of our business. Lee Peck Media is not only experienced in our sector and knows the region well but also shares our philosophy of delivering exemplary levels of customer service and added value.”
