After setting up her business SJG Data Consultancy in May 2022, Sam Gaskell has big plans for expansion under the company’s new name – DataFit.

The Hook-based firm will now be offering data consultancy services for both small to medium and large businesses, as well as data training, mentoring and recruitment.

She’s aiming to help businesses save both time and money through data-driven decision making.

“I’m absolutely delighted to expand the services available and pursue my dream of a data and training consultancy that is built on a zero dependency policy”, said Sam.

“The whole DataFit mantra is centered around leaving individuals and businesses better than we found them.

“While we’re happy to be parachuted into overwhelmed data teams to get projects over the line, we also really want to encourage companies with data teams in place to shift from a consultant-led approach to empowering and investing in their own employees.”

Sam’s 12-year career in data has seen her working with the likes of Hometrack, British Gas and Marks and Spencer, with experience spanning the financial services, healthcare, energy, retail, property, construction and automotive sectors.

She’ll now be leveraging that experience to provide workshop-based training – both in-person and virtually – as well as sourcing talent for clients.

“We’re a people-first, data-second company”, Sam added.

“That’s because the data is already there, but without the right people and skills in place, that data is irrelevant.

“We’d love to hear from anybody or any business that feels we may be able to help them with one of our services.”
