A catering equipment specialist in the South served up an ace contract at the home of the world's most famous tennis tournament.

Hampshire-based HCE carried out the major project for this year's Wimbledon Tennis Championships, which saw Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams win the gentlemen's and ladies' finals respectively.

Led by managing director Jon Greep, the firm near Southampton sourced and installed catering equipment in various areas at The All England Lawn Tennis Club.

As part of the contract, HCE installed a first-floor kitchen and ground floor serveries at the Construction Support Village, which has capacity for 2,000 Championships' support staff.

HCE, which has its headquarters at Chandler's Ford and employs 20 people, was also involved in the disconnection, servicing and cleaning of pre-existing equipment at The All England Lawn Tennis Club.

Greep said: "We obtained this contract, which involved top-of-the-range catering facilities, through recommendation and previous jobs completed, such as The Shard, Royal Albert Hall and Ascot Racecourse.

"We were chosen due to our can-do approach and our desire to deliver the best possible project for the client by utilising our strong and efficient project management capabilities, which ultimately ensures customer satisfaction each and every time."
