Businesses across Hampshire are being offered free training sessions this month to help prepare for all possible outcomes of Brexit.

Hosted by Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, the four interactive ‘bootcamps’ aim to raise awareness of potential impacts on topics such as taxation and employment rights.

Experts in a range of business disciplines, and with knowledge of different industry sectors, will be on hand to answer any questions.

Ross McNally, Hampshire Chamber’s executive chairman, said: “Like fellow businesses across the UK, our members have been raising lots of questions about what may happen with Brexit.

“These include aspects of VAT, data protection, import and export documentation, and the rights of employees who come from elsewhere in the EU.

“Our bootcamps give attendees the opportunity to speak directly to experts in these issues.

“The objective is that businesses come away more prepared regardless of the outcome with Brexit.”

The sessions, supported by the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, take place at: The Four Seasons Hotel, Hook, on Tuesday, October 15, 2pm to 4pm; Ageas Bowl, Southampton, on Wednesday, October 23, 2pm to 4.30pm; and Lainston House, Winchester, on Friday, October 25, 2pm to 4pm.

A dedicated session for businesses involved in international trade is being held at the Ageas Bowl on Wednesday, October 23, from 10am to 12.30pm.
