Growth across all sectors for Newbury's Gamma
Newbury-based business-to-business communications provider Gamma Communications has reported a good performance this year, with growth across all three operating segments. It expects this positive momentum to continue through the rest of the year.
In its 2022 annual report and accounts, the company reported revenues of £484.5 million, an increase of eight per cent.

This year, the company has launched Simple Swap, a unique proposition in the UK marketplace that allows the company to convert legacy data and voice services for small businesses as PSTN switch off approaches (The Public Switch Telephone Network is due to be closed by BT Openreach in December 2025. As a result, every phone line for UK businesses will move to a fully digital network that operates using voice over internet protocol technology (VoIP) that operates over a fibre-based service.)
It has also seen an improved European business performance in the second half of 2022 which has continued in 2023 to date, including a number of product launches.
Following the announcement made on 21 March, the search for a replacement Chair to succeed Richard Last has made good progress but has not yet completed. Subject to his re-election at the AGM yesterday, Richard will remain on the Board as Chair until his successor has been appointed.
