Free Pub customer tracking portal app launched to help pubs and hospitality sector open safely
An online customer logging portal, identecoTrack, has been launched to help pub, bar and restaurant staff fulfil Covid-19 NHS Test and Trace obligations ahead of this weekend’s opening.
Bromsgrove-based identecoTrack is an online answer to the challenge that many pub owners and breweries face as they open up again after the long lock down, and meet the government's stringent criteria for opening.
“The opening up of the economy following the COVID-19 outbreak is being supported by NHS Test and Trace. You should assist this service by keeping a temporary record of your customers and visitors for 21 days, in a way that is manageable for your business, and assist NHS Test and Trace with requests for that data if needed”.
This has left many pub owners puzzled as how this can be managed and led to may breweries and pubs opting not, reluctantly, to open their doors last weekend despite an economical need to do so.
The portal offers a comprehensive solution to customer. It is mobile based and can be completed by staff quickly and easily either at the door on entry or at the table or bar when taking drinks orders. Should the NHS request the data during the subsequent 21 days, pub staff can easily export by date and time providing a comprehensive list of customers, staff and suppliers to the NHS in order to prevent further outbreaks of Covid-19. Data will be stored securely on identeco’s UK servers for 21 days before being deleted.
Following the launch of the website and app on Thursday 2nd July , David Harvey, Managing Director of Controlaccount Plc that owns identecoTrack, waived the £30 per month subscription, making the app free of charge for any business that works in the leisure and hospitality sector. “There are lots of businesses struggling during this time. It just felt right to make the product free in order to help do our bit. There’s been some fantastic examples of businesses offering their services to help fight Coronavirus – and as software solutions is one of the outsourced services we offer through Controlaccount, we felt that this was something that we could do to play our part in helping reduce the spread of Covid-19 and helping fellow businesses.”
