Five new Festival Partners have been announced for Dorset Business Festival this October, hosted by business support organisation Dorset Chamber.

This will be the first event of its kind in the chamber’s 74-year history. The latest announcement comes after law firm Lester Aldridge was named the Premier Festival Partner.

Ian Girling, Chief Executive of Dorset Chamber, said: “Excitement is growing for the Dorset Business Festival.

“We are thrilled to welcome Blue Sky Financial Planning, Bournemouth and Poole College, Dorset Council, The Dolphin Centre and the YMCA as Festival Partners.

“They are all longstanding and highly valued supporters of the chamber, whose enthusiasm and commitment will turbocharge the event.

“The festival promises to be a superb celebration of business, which will also address the very real issues being faced by many owners, directors and managers today.”

Kicking off the event is Sunday Times economics editor David Smith, who delivers the keynote address on Tuesday 10 October.

Tuesday will feature a topic-based conference touching upon technology and the ESG agenda, hosted by presenter and former BBC Breakfast business correspondent Declan Curry.

On Wednesday guests will have the chance to visit stands and presentations at the event expo, with plenty of network opportunities.

The festival ends on Thursday with the Dorset Business Awards, returning for the first time in four years. These will be presented and judged across 10 categories by an independent panel of business leaders and experts.

Dorset Chamber is set to officially launch the event at its President’s Lunch this Wednesday at the Italian Villa in Poole. The launch will be hosted by Caron Khan alongside special guest and keynote speaker Shevaun Haviland, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce.

Tickets for the festival open on 9 May, with more information available here.
