As tension mounts, and with the Solent 250 awards dinner one week away, The Business Magazine is ready to reveal the full list of finalists for annual Solent 250 awards. 

The Solent 250 is an annual listing of the top privately-owned businesses (by sales turnover) headquartered in the Solent region – defined as most of Hampshire (south of Basingstoke) and parts of Dorset, Wiltshire and West Sussex.

Solent 250 judges will reveal the winners in six categories during a private dinner and awards ceremony at the Harbour Hotel & Spa in Southampton on May 10th, 2023, to celebrate the special achievements of those companies listed. 

Managing director of The Business Magazine, Richard Thompson, said: "Once again companies in the Solent have shown exceptional growth, leadership and vision and we’re very excited to announce the winners on the 10th of May. We look forward to welcoming all guests to this evening of celebration.”

Sam is the Regional Editor of Biz News, responsible for both Hampshire and Dorset.

A new recruit to journalism, Sam started writing for the Business Magazine as a freelancer in May of 2022 after completing his degree in English at University College London. His passion for local businesses and ability to tell a story soon caught the attention of the publication’s management team and have led to his meteoric rise.

Sam, who lives in central Reading, takes a particular interest in technology, gaming and food and drink, having been a chef before starting his degree.
