An event was held at Farnham castle in Surrey to mark the official rebrand of Wise & Co to Shaw Gibbs, the accountancy firm revealed.

In March this year the pair joined forces with the original intention of retaining the Wise & Co brand for one to two years.

However, as the collaboration has worked well and Shaw Gibbs continues to grow, the decision was made to bring the rebrand forward.

Peter O’Connell, managing director of the Shaw Gibbs group, said: "In a rapidly changing world, we understand that our clients look to us not just for solutions but for trusted partners who can guide them through uncertainty.

"Our collaboration with Shaw Gibbs Farnham and more recently, Herbert Parnell in Brookwood is a pledge to our clients that we will continue to be that partner – expert, reliable, innovative, and collaborative in order to assist with our client’s success."

The event, on October 12, saw Shaw Gibbs welcome over 130 clients, members of staff, business contacts and the deputy mayor and mayoress of Farnham to the castle.

The Farnham office, as Shaw Gibbs, will continue to invest in the local economy, not only by providing traineeships for aspirational accountants and tax advisers but also opening roles for experienced hires.

It will also continue to support local charities such as Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care with which they have held a long relationship and sponsor Farnham initiatives such as the annual carnival and the Christmas lights switch-on.
