Farnborough security firm QinetiQ wins more defence contracts as war in Ukraine escalates
Defence technology experts QinetiQ has stated that it has received around £800 million in new orders in the last six months. A number of these new contracts being signed up with defence departments in the United Kingdom, the United States and Europe, as nations gear up for the continuing - and perhaps escalation of - war in Ukraine.
The missile targeting arm of the Hampshire firm made a number of noteworthy new contract wins and increased deliveries for customer training exercises in unidentified places across the continent.
Overall, the firm reported a 'strong and consistent operational performance,' with orders up by almost a fifth compared to the first half of last year. QintecQ are also announcing 'excellent organic revenue growth' and profits that are 'in line with forecasts'.
QinetiQ Chief Executive Steve Wadey had this to say about the news: “Our strategy to perform and grow continues to build momentum across the group, demonstrated by excellent order intake, good organic revenue growth, profit in-line with our expectations and three strategic transactions in the first half of the year."
