A Fareham-based law firm, which specialises in winning compensation for members of the public, is to change hands.

Hayward Baker helps citizens to tackle challenges such as winning compensation after an accident, or reopening claims where the person is not happy with the amount of compensation received, or how much they had to pay another firm. It will be majority-owned and run by Samuel Dorne, who has worked with the firm for nearly five years.

Dorne has been one of the key players in driving technology within the firm, helping to create a successful Delayed Flight Compensation Claim process. This enables members of the public to win compensation for delayed flights without the hassle of fighting their way through the system.

The firm’s co-founder, Keith Hayward, is well known in the legal profession for his leadership in compensation claims. He will continue to own a small share of the company and work alongside Dorne for the next three years.
