Professional conference organisers Opening Doors and Venues Limited (OD&V), are kicking off the new year on the January page of the 2020 calendar “Celebrating the Natural Environment for Business in North Worcestershire”.

OUR SUBMISSION:

Having opened our first door here twenty years ago, North Worcestershire is unquestionably where our heart is! Working in a predominantly rural area enhances the wellbeing of our team and inspires us to grow, while recent improvements to road and rail enable crucial and easy country-wide access. #excitedaboutthefuture

“We were delighted to be selected as winners in the 2020 PR Calendar Competition” said Rose Padmore, Opening Doors and Venues Founding Director. “We are a proud North Worcestershire business celebrating our 20th anniversary, and the prize of PR and marketing support is particularly timely in this landmark year.”

Rose raised her first invoice in the year 2000, having taken on the management of charity, Age Concern’s (now Age UK), ‘Building Bridges Conference’. Since then she has grown the company, applying accurate and creative event management skills to more than 170 events of varying shapes and sizes, locally, nationally and internationally for a broad range of clients, including local government, corporate businesses, not-for-profit organisations and associations.

Notable names across the years include, Midland Heart, GPR Association, Worcestershire LEP, Marketing Birmingham, National Lottery Community Fund, Wolverhampton Voluntary Services Council, Producers Alliance in Cinema and Television, Teaching Schools Council, Federation of Communication Services and the Association for Computing Machinery.

To begin with, Rose worked alone, using a small network of freelancers. Since then the permanent team has grown to include Project Manager Madalina Marincas, who has a BA Honours in Event Management and an MA in marketing for events, and Sarah Brooks, Event and Marketing Support.

Both are confident to take on project management of multiple larger scale and often complex events.  This small, hard-working team continue to be supported by established specialist suppliers in addition to a growing experienced network of freelance colleagues.

Specialising in conferences and awards events, Team OD&V offer an end-to-end service that includes the development of a detailed time line and subsequent accurate event delivery within a given budget, or the provision of individual elements such as registration management, free venue finding or on-site event operations and production.

“We pride ourselves on an accurate project management service” said Madalina. “Much of what we do before the event is behind the scenes ahead, but this is essential to make the event itself run efficiently and successfully.

“We are incredibly proud of our established and trusted client relationships, many of which are long-standing, including, Worcestershire LEP Annual Conference 2012 to 2018, Worcestershire Apprenticeships Awards 2018, 2019 and 2020, and National Lottery-funded Talent Match and Ageing Better Conferences and Awards 2016 to 2019, to name a few.”

2020 looks set to be another busy year and 2021 has confirmed dates too, with the team excited about delivering events regionally, nationally and internationally including Worcestershire, Cambridge and Canada.

“We continually exceed client expectations,” said Rose, “and we are always happy to sit down over a cuppa to discuss requirements and explain our approach on a no obligation basis.

“Give us a call today so we can take the headache out of organising your next event, saving you time and money whilst helping you achieve your goals and more.”
