Episode three of Portsmouth's Comic Con coming in May
Cosplay parades, panel discussions and special guests, will all form part of Portsmouth’s 2022 Comic Con.
In what is billed as the largest event of its type on the Southcoast, The Portsmouth International Festival of Comics, returns for its third iteration the weekend of May 7 and 8.
Among the exhibits are a special birthday exhibit for the ‘Clown Prince of Crime’ Batman nemisis, The Joker, who celebrates his 80th birthday in 2022.
An incredible range of props and replicas from the Dr. Who series will also be on display. These will include a Tardis replica, full size Cyberman replica, Davros and Daleks.
There is a real treat in store for Star Wars fans. Attendees can enter the world of Tattoine, complete with backdrops, Stormtroopers and Luke Skywalker’s Speeder.
Experience the sights, sounds and characters of the desert planet before being transported to the moon of Endor complete with Imperial Bunker, speeder bikes and an interactive Ewok experience.
A celebration of female superheroes will be hosted on Saturday 7 May. This will champion the characters of Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Supergirl and more, through a range of international guests, panels, cosplayers and LDComics.
The event will be hosted in Portsmouth’s Guildhall.
