Dedicated distillery opened by Berkshire Botanicals
Berkshire’s Yattendon Estate is the site of a brand new distillery, opened by local company Berkshire Botanicals. Created three years ago by Johnny Neill, their range of spirits was previously crafted at The Royal Oak pub at a small still.
Their range includes products based around the natural beauty of the Yattendon Estate. The company work with the Berkshire, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust, supporting conservation projects in the region.
Their new location - named The Yattendon Distillery - can be found at Child’s Court Farm. Features at the distillery include a 200-litre copper pot still, giving Berkshire Botanicals capacity for additional production and capacity to expand.
Mr Neill said of the launch: “Since launching Berkshire Botanical, we’ve always wanted to open up a larger distillery on the Yattendon Estate, so it’s brilliant to finally be up and running. It’s been a really exciting few years for us, as we have focused on producing a quality range, as well as increasing distribution and sales both in the UK and globally.
“With the opening of the Yattendon Distillery, we now look forward to welcoming people to our home, and further growing the Berkshire Botanical range.”
