DB Foods launches own premium brand

Poole-based wholesale meat supplier DB Foods has responded to demand from high-street butchers by launching its own new premium brand, DB Select. The company said the new brand represents the quality, consistency and value its customers have come to expect.

DB Foods added that the initiative has provided an opportunity to form closer working relationships with the butchers it supplies.

“In amongst all the calls for orders, supply and delivery, we had some really worthwhile and insightful conversations with our butchers, both new customers and those who have been with us for the past three decades,” said director Stuart Robson.

“We have received great feedback on our products, pricing and reliability, so we wanted to create something that both signified and guaranteed those elements to our service, hence our new brand, DB Select.”

The company’s ambition for DB Select’s reputation in the marketplace is consistency. “Each time a DB Select box is delivered, the butcher should know what is in it, be assured of premium quality and pleased it came at a great price. We know our customers value reliability and trust in their supplier, so we created DB Select as a personal guarantee for just that,” said Robson.

Formed in 1991, DB Foods is an independent meat wholesaler based in Poole. The company has a proven track record in supplying a diverse customer base which includes: restaurant groups, airlines, cruise ships, high street and catering butchers, UK multiples and online businesses.
