Dartford’s Europa Air & Sea announces first Dutch base
Dartford-based Europa Air & Sea, part of Europa Worldwide Group, has announced that it is expanding into continental Europe through its second investment of the year, a new office in Rotterdam.
The new team will be based at Marten Meesweg in Rotterdam, with dedicated handlers for shipments destined for locations across the world.
Freight quantities passing through Rotterdam Port are reported as 'virtually unchaged despite the global economic downturn and the war in Ukraine', which lends some perspective as to why Europa have prioritised their expansion into the area over others.

This expansion reflects Europa Worldwide Group's recent successes, including Europa Road's recent partnership with logistics company Noerpel in Germany.
Director at Europa Air & Sea Angus Hind said: “The consistency of performance of the Port of Rotterdam under a uniquely challenging set of trading conditions shows its importance across a broad spectrum of sectors.
“This is an important step forward for Europa Air & Sea as we continue our global expansion. It’s vital that we base our operations in locations with both strong air and sea links, and Rotterdam is no exception.
“As well as Rotterdam and other ports within the Netherlands, ready access is available to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport – one of Europe’s busiest for both passenger and freight aircraft. Dutch air freight is very much on the up at the moment and we believe this will continue.”
