Crowe Clark Whitehill Rocks the Cotswolds

Rock the Cotswolds was launched in 2014 to showcase the creativity, venues, events, people, organisations and world-leading businesses in the Cotswolds.

A social enterprise, it reveals and celebrates the true diversity of people and businesses across the region. It does this through an active and engaging social media campaign, introducing and encouraging business collaborations and running at least one high profile event each year.

From a colourful launch campaign in an 11th-century monastery in Gloucester, to events on innovation, business, creativity, property, comedy, city regeneration and more, Rock the Cotswolds has attracted thousands of followers to date and revealed 200 amazing, young and exciting businesses which few might have realised had their headquarters, or origins, in the traditional Cotswolds.

Such campaigns need funding, and one forward-thinking company in Cheltenham immediately saw the value of the campaign and, for the last three years, has been Rock the Cotswold’s headline sponsor.

Crowe Clark Whitehill LLP is an award-winning national accountancy firm offering audit, tax and advisory services to all levels of business from entrepreneurs to large corporates. It is a part of Crowe Horwath International the eighth-largest association of professional services firms in the world, a network with 200 independent accounting and advisory firms in over 100 countries.

Crowe Clark Whitehill’s Cheltenham office was established over 50 years ago and its growing team works with hundreds of large and small businesses across the region.

The collaboration has helped Rock the Cotswolds stage a number of high profile initiatives: from huge billboards on the M5 at Birmingham and M4 in London showcased the Cotswolds to hundreds of thousands of commuters, to regularly revealing and adding new ‘Rockers’ to its roster of exciting businesses, people, events, charities or venues located in the region. There are currently 200 ‘Rockers’ listed on the website, helping change perceptions of an area not always appreciated for its rich creativity and engineering excellence.

Nick Latimer, Partner of Crowe Clark Whitehill said, of supporting the Rock the Cotswolds campaign, “We love the engaging, exciting and collaborative approach which lies at the heart of Rock the Cotswolds. For us it is all about working and living in a great part of the world and supporting other like-minded businesses.”

Rock the Cotswolds co-founder, Oli Christie, said: “We’re thrilled with the support of Crowe Clark Whitehill. It’s a great collaboration and they clearly sees our campaign’s business value. That they are also determined to get stuck in is proof that they really get the point of the project. As accountants they know it’s a numbers game: the more who know about Rock the Cotswolds, the more positive effect it will have on the Cotswold economy.”
