Crest Nicholson tells AGM expansion is progressing to plan
The Crest Nicholson Group has informed its AGM that their expansion plans across Yorkshire and East Anglia are progressing well.
The property developer also informed delegates at the Surrey AGM their order book is 84% covered for this financial year.
A Crest Nicholson spokesperson told the Business Magazine that: “The Group has delivered a strong trading performance since the start of the financial year. Housing market conditions remain favourable and we continue to see good demand for our homes.”
Crest Nicholson is of course, not immune to the global unrest and has informed the AGM that: “the current geo-political uncertainties present fresh challenges for housebuilders.”
These challenges include raw material supply chain disruptions and rising inflation.
The company's outlook is overwhelmingly positive and Crest Nicolson board are prepared to meet the forthcoming challenges. This is due not only to the confidence inspired by how the business navigated the pandemic but also as it reports: “demand for housing outstrips supply.”
Looking to the short term future Crest Nicholson has opened its Leeds branch and has identified a business leader for its East Anglia division. It is expected the appointee will take up the post in June 2022.
