A new network has been launched to support creative, cultural and tourism businesses in Coventry.

The FinditinCW is part of the Coventry Creative Growth & Cultural Tourism Recovery Programme, which is funded by the Government’s UK Community Renewal Fund, through the West Midlands Combined Authority, in partnership with Coventry & Warwickshire LEP Growth Hub and Coventry City Council.

The new network includes two brand new portals – the ‘Creative Web’ and the ‘Leisure, Tourism and Cultural Hive’.

These new services provide businesses in these sectors with easy access to industry-specific tender and contract opportunities, events, news, and jobs. Businesses based in Coventry can register free of charge and create an extensive business profile, including space to upload photos and videos, and add keywords to help get found by buyers searching for these services.

Businesses can also promote their offers and products via the Marketplace, add events and networking opportunities, connect with other creative businesses via the forum to share knowledge and collaboration opportunities, and set up notifications for exclusive Meet the Buyer events and opportunity alerts.

Peter Davison is deputy editor of The Business Magazine. He has spent his life in journalism – doing work experience in newsrooms in and around Bristol while still at school, and landing his first job on a local newspaper aged 19. By 28 he was the youngest newspaper editor in the country.

An early advocate of online news, he spent the first years of the 2000s telling his bosses that the internet posed both the biggest opportunity and greatest threat to the newspaper industry and the art of journalism. He was right on both counts.

Since 2006 he has enjoyed a career as a freelance journalist. He lives in rural Wiltshire with one wife, two children, and three cats.
