Windsor-based data technology group InterSystems said Colin Henderson had been hired as country manager for the company's UK and Ireland business, assuming the full role on March 28 following the retirement of Chris Norton.

Henderson brings a wealth of industry leadership experience and joins from the Dedalus Group where he was managing director UK & Ireland.

His career has included leadership positions at DXC Technology, Orion Health, and IBM Global Services across UK, Ireland, Israel, Middle East, and Africa.

He said: "InterSystems’ customer-centric focus has contributed to its continued growth in an evolving economic environment. I will continue that customer focus, while being excited by the prospect of expanding our cloud-first products and services businesses and exploring new markets."

Norton, who has been at the company for over 20 years in different roles, and was instrumental in developing InterSystems’ business across healthcare, finance and supply chain management, added: "The time has simply flown by, and it has been an honour to have contributed to our growth and serve our marvelous customers.

"The InterSystems culture remains constant in its drive for customer success and its ability to continuously evolve and this makes it a great company to work for.

"This has been a tough decision for me to take, but I leave confident that Colin will do a terrific job to take the UKI business forward."

The company said it was continuing to build on its strengths with unifying data to provide a foundation for artificial intelligence (AI) for the healthcare, financial services, government, manufacturing, and logistics industries.

As the world becomes more connected, unifying data to improve decision-making in healthcare with technologies like AI is more important than ever, it said.
