Chickens come home to roost in Redditch for new business owners

A family of successful retailers have turned their sights to poultry farming after buying a Redditch farm.

The Ghafar Family, have purchased Moorefield Farm, Redditch thanks to Central Business Finance, a Midlands-based, independent FCA approved finance broker, who secured over a million pound funding package to purchase the farm and create five new jobs.

Moorefield Farm is the first agricultural business for The Ghafar Family.

Larry Ghafar, Farm Manager at Moorefield Farm says says: “Opening our first poultry farm here in Alvechurch is a dream come true. We have always wanted to swap sides from retailer to producer and thanks to the team at Central Finance we can now commence our new journey.

“Opening and managing a poultry farm is no easy task and that in itself has been challenging, but rewarding.  Understanding business finance and accessing the right funding package was crucial to purchasing the Moorefield Farm.
