Directing an organisation that is shaping the way for education provision and employment support across the nation, the CEO of Qube Learning, Joe Crossley (pictured), has been labelled the Most Influential CEO by popular title CEO Monthly.

An ex-retail manager, Crossley has always been driven by the success of others and how he can make that happen. Now sitting at the top of a business that promotes and implements apprenticeships, traineeships, and learning programmes, he believes everyone deserves the chance to harvest a path to victory.

Crossley says: "To steer a team who is making a difference to so many people’s lives, really is an honour. To have my work recognised is a huge achievement and one I cannot celebrate alone. Though I sit as CEO, I am supported by a great team and have spent many years encouraging team spirit, equality and fairness, which is reflected in how we work. To be named Most Influential CEO will certainly be one of the top moments in my career. I look forward to what the future holds for Qube Learning and how we can continue to make positive changes through experience and learning. With so many opportunities available, doors will remain ajar for all – no matter what their background."

Having passed up the opportunity to complete a degree in occupational health in 1997, Crossley spent 12 months moving around the UK, learning about all aspects of retail, customer service, marketing, staff and sales management. He then joined Qube Learning in 2014 as commercial director, having spent seven years prior to that with a local, family-run training provider.

With a drive to succeed, Crossley was made business development director in 2016 – a role that focused on securing and working with larger employers who would be levy payers. During his time in this position, Crossley and his team secured numerous national and multinational employer accounts for the business.

Then in 2017, Crossley was promoted to chief executive officer of Qube Learning and has since made a point of communicating regularly with his team to ensure they are all working from the same page.
