Dorset Chamber has announced a new Business Transformation Programme offering businesses in the BCP Council area a rare opportunity to gain bespoke advice and support on business transformation from former Sunseeker and Lotus Cars CEO Phil Popham (pictured). This includes a masterclass and three, follow-up, one-to-one meetings.

Popham is the former CEO of international luxury yacht builder Sunseeker and most recently Lotus Cars, and was responsible for driving major business transformation programmes within both businesses. Prior to this, Popham was responsible for global marketing sales and service for Jaguar Land Rover as a member of its executive committee that oversaw a period of unprecedented growth.

This opportunity for businesses comes as a result of grant funding awarded by BCP Council to Dorset Chamber after it demonstrated how this Transformation Programme can offer a new and exciting way to support and accelerate post-covid-19 recovery for businesses in the area. This means this support is totally free for participants.

Ian Girling, chief executive at Dorset Chamber, said: "This is a fabulous and extremely rare opportunity for businesses to have fully funded one-to-one advice and support from the former CEO of Sunseeker and Lotus Cars. In his 30-year career Phil has acquired an astounding amount of experience in transforming businesses and this represents a rare opportunity to learn from the best."

Business owners, directors and senior managers of businesses based in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole can register their interest to attend one of three, 90-minute virtual workshops.

Twenty businesses attending a workshop will then have the opportunity to have three, virtual, one-to-one follow-up sessions with Popham at board level. The initial session will focus on fact finding and identifying areas for change, with the two further sessions taking a sleeves-up and hands-on approach to those specific areas.

Girling added: "Demand is likely to be very high for this programme and we’d urge businesses to book quickly to secure a place at a workshop and then register their interest for the bespoke one-to-one support from Phil."

Companies are invited to register for one of the workshop dates which each run from 9.30 to 11am on:

Thursday 8th July 2021

Thursday 5th August 2021

Thursday 26th August 2021
