Local companies, freelancers or those wanting to reclaim their homes for the family are once again finding that co-working spaces are opening up again, offering socially distanced desk and meeting room space.

One such space is at Ascot Racecourse, where the HUB XV co-working space has reopened its business hub on the first floor of the Owners and Trainers Lounge – and has gone even further, extending into the Old Paddock Suite area.

Under new rules, members pre-book a private desk space online prior to arrival to ensure capacities are controlled for social distancing.

HUB XV partners with sports venues to open coworking environments by transforming unused space and creating networking opportunities through events and a well-established business community programme.

HUB XV Founder and CEO, Alix Popham, said: “We are delighted to give professionals and corporate teams in the region the opportunity to collaborate, network and grow from a venue of such sporting heritage.

“We are having some very interesting conversations with people in the local community and large corporates looking for alternative workplace solutions. We are hearing about many restrictions in place for returning to offices, such as dividing the workforce into Teams A and Team B for alternate days to allow for social distancing. Companies are finding a membership to Hub XV works as a capacity extender, allowing a larger number of the team the opportunity to go back to working outside the home.”
