Business Boost for Local Companies

The QSL Love Local Expo which gives local businesses the chance do more business within the region returns to Worcestershire County Cricket Club on October 24th 2018. It is hosted by ISO Quality Services Ltd, a management consultancy specialising in ISO management standards.

Jennifer Appleton, Managing Director, comments, “We love being part of the Worcestershire business community so we try to buy locally to boost our region’s prosperity. We want to enable other local companies to do the same, hence the Expo. It gives a wide range of businesses the opportunity to showcase their talents to local buyers.”

The first free Expo in May saw a high number of delegates attend and many productive conversations were enjoyed.

Jennifer continues, “The event was meant to be a one-off but it was such a success that we’ve been asked to make it a regular part of our calendar.”

The events team hopes that this Expo’s theme of ‘employee engagement’ will draw in even more decision makers.

As well as visiting stands, and networking over coffee, attendees will have the chance to hear a talk from local insurance specialists, Jelf, on how benefits packages can impact on employee engagement from the recruitment stage onwards.

This will be followed by a fascinating overview of this year’s current hot topic, mental health at work, given by Umbrella Training & Development Ltd.

In addition, local photographers, D.A.P., will run a mini studio on the day so 20 delegates can have the perfect headshots taken for use on LinkedIn and other social media platforms in return for a donation to the company’s chosen charity, the Midlands Air Ambulance charity.

Live tweeting will take place from the event as it coincides with Worcester’s popular #WorcestershireHour.

Confirmed exhibitors include Headturner Search, Indegu, You Do Better and Worcester Web Studio. Media partner, Business & Innovation Magazine, will also be in attendance and will give all delegates a free copy of their latest issue.

As before, any profits made will be donated to the Midlands Air Ambulance charity.
