Hillingdon, the second largest London borough by area, has plenty of room for companies to find a place to thrive and grow, aided by some of the best transport links in the capital. Many international corporations have chosen to locate their UK or European headquarters in Hillingdon –  and we certainly punch above our weight when it comes to household names. With this in mind, Brunel University London and supporters including Aviva Investors; Barracuda; The Charter Building; Chartwells; Heathrow; Hillingdon Chamber of Commerce; Intu; Kingston Smith; London Borough of Hillingdon; Minuteman Press; Nexen; One Care IT; PwC; Ruislip Manor Chamber of Commerce; Santander; SEGRO; Uxbridge BID; Uxbridge College, West Met Skills; Ward Williams, have again joined forces to organise the fourth Hillingdon Business Expo, furthering the great success of previous years.

On Thursday 31 May, 100 exhibitors will be joined by over 1500 visitors from local and regional companies, as well as members of the public, on the Brunel University London campus in Uxbridge. The day is free and welcome to all; a community led event that is made possible by a very large number of people across the Borough – from the chambers of commerce, large corporates, small companies, education, local government, the third sector and of course the University – all working together, giving their time and expertise for free.

Kicking off with a Business Breakfast and Keynote address, the day will be packed with business presentations and advice sessions –  including workshops from the PopUp Business School – a free BBQ networking lunch, live broadcasting from HayesFM, business card prize draws, close-up magic, a complimentary evening networking reception, and over one hundred exhibitors showcasing the best of Hillingdon business and providing visitors with a host of ideas, advice and contacts. The Hillingdon Business Expo showcases all that is great about doing business in the London Borough of Hillingdon; a chance to see for yourself what is going on in this vibrant, innovative and entrepreneurial part of the world. It will also be great fun, so register your interest now!

This is an excellent initiative and demonstrates what a thriving business community there is in the Borough.

Sean Pickford, Business Services Manager, Ward Williams

The Hillingdon Expo is a must for all business owners in the borough. We made some useful contacts during the day, and got over 30 leads on new business. 1 month later, and we have held meetings with 5 of those leads, and converted 3 into actual business, and we have more meetings lined up. We also met with various new suppliers, with a view to doing more business with local business. We will be back in 2018, supporting and sponsoring the event, not because we have to, but because we want to.

Lucy McCann, Executive Director of Enterprise and Development – Uxbridge College.

Uxbridge College were proud to sponsor the Hillingdon Expo for the third year running. This year was bigger than ever with a large number of stands and a great selection of workshops and networking points. It's a great opportunity to meet other businesses in the local area, chat with existing and potential clients and celebrate what's great about doing business in Hillingdon!

An enjoyable and interesting event! I thought the presentations where very useful for businesses in general and the selection to choose from, gave you a chance to choose what is relevant/important for your individual business concerns/issues/news/development.
