Bournemouth: BH Live appoints head of hospitality

BH Live has appointed David Christie to head up its hospitality division.

With a team of more than 200 employees, hospitality services are provided by BH Live at high-profile entertainment, cultural, sporting and event venues across the south of England. These include Bournemouth International Centre, Mountbatten Leisure Centre in Portsmouth, London Aquatics Centre and Copper Box Arena in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Fairfield Halls in Croydon.
Christie has more than 20 years’ experience in the catering industry. He has also developed multinational food and beverage propositions and led hospitality operations with organisations including Sage Gateshead, Costa Coffee and Compass Group.
“David joins us at a very exciting time," said Pat Coyne, BH Live’s director of venues and events. “Our hospitality division has grown significantly over the past five years focusing on retail, cafés, bars, fine dining, street food and high-end event catering. David’s in-depth industry knowledge, skills and experience will take this to the next level in line with our business plan.”
Commenting on his appointment Christie added: “I have watched BH Live’s growth in the hospitality sector with interest. I look forward to working with the team, clients, partners and stakeholders to further existing growth, develop the team and build on BH Live’s reputation as an established provider of high-quality hospitality products and services in the event and leisure sectors.”
