Book your free place: Worcestershire Business Growth Event - 12th December at Sixways Stadium
Businesses in Worcestershire that have started up within the last three years are being invited to an event to find out more about the opportunities for growth that are available. They are invited to attend the ‘Imagine, Achieve, Succeed’ workshop on 12 December 2018, where they can learn more about the support and funding available through Worcestershire County Council's Enterprising Worcestershire programme.
The event will take place at the Sixways Stadium in Worcestershire, from 9.30am to 2.00pm on 12th December. Programme co-ordinators will be on hand to explain how Enterprising Worcestershire works, plus delegates will get a taste of the support available first hand, through bite size workshops such as 'Funding the Dream; An introduction to grants and finance and how to apply.' They will also hear the perspective of guest speaker Nick Baxter, from Baxter Williams, whose recruitment agency has grown with the support of the programme.
The event is aimed at early stage businesses that are under three years old and trading at least 70% business-to-business. It will appeal to owners who know their business has the potential to grow but haven’t had the opportunity to develop it further or explore the help that is available.
Enterprising Worcestershire Project Support Officer Ellie Brown said: “Many early stage businesses in the region won’t have heard of Enterprising Worcestershire and yet the programme can be invaluable in helping eligible businesses to grow. That’s why we are holding this event, to make sure more business owners know about the support available and to demonstrate the practical help we can provide. We start the day with coffee, we end with networking and there is lunch and lots of workshop opportunities in between – so it’s definitely one not to miss!”
Enterprising Worcestershire is an ERDF funded programme that provides expert advice, support and access to funding for businesses with the potential for growth. The programme supports early stage businesses through a combination of one-to-one support and workshops, covering topics from market research and business planning to social media and legal essentials. Eligible businesses may also be able to access funding through the programme to purchase new equipment or develop their online presence.
