Leading Thames Valley law firm Blandy & Blandy LLP has announced Tim Clark, a partner in the employment team, as its new joint managing partner.

Clark takes over the role from long-serving joint managing partner Philip D’Arcy, who has been a member of the firm’s management team for nearly thirty years. D’Arcy will continue as head of Blandy & Blandy’s dispute resolution team. Clark will work closely alongside fellow joint managing partner Jonathan Gater and the firm’s chairman, Brenda Long.

Clark said: “Blandy & Blandy has grown and evolved tremendously since I

joined over 20 years ago. I have really enjoyed being part of that process and am proud of what we have achieved. Working alongside Jonathan, Brenda and the rest of our team, I am now looking forward to helping to lead Blandy & Blandy into the future. I am particularly excited at the prospect of bringing my experience of working closely with the firm’s experts in our commercial teams, and our commercial clients, to the management of the firm and building, while continuing the great success of our renowned private client offering.”

Top ranked for ‘private wealth law’

Blandy & Blandy LLP has been named as Reading’s only top-tier solicitors firm for ‘private wealth law’ in the 2017 edition of Chambers High Net Worth guide.

Partner and team head Jonathan Gater is also the only top-tier ranked lawyer in the area, with fellow partner Caroline Casagranda individually recommended and consultant solicitor Graham Benwell named as a ‘senior statesman’ in recognition of his experience.

Gater is described by clients as “absolutely excellent” and a “stand-out operator”. Casagranda is praised as “very personable” and Benwell is recognised as an “invaluable member of the team” and for his “expertise, efficiency and approachability”.

Residential property team shortlisted for three awards

Blandy & Blandy LLP’s residential property team has been shortlisted for three awards at the 2017 ESTAS Awards, the largest and longest running award scheme for the residential property industry. Alongside being nominated for a team award, two members of the team have also been named as finalists for individual awards.
