BDO continues to invest in Thames Valley with new partners

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has named five new Thames Valley partners in the past 12 months as the business continues to focus on regional growth.

Most recently, Rosalind Payne joins as a Tax Partner with a specialism in M&A tax and Paul Etherington has joined as a Partner in audit, bringing more than two decades of experience.

Rosalind works with ambitious businesses and investors to build value through corporate and personal tax, supporting successful transactions. Her experience includes domestic and international acquisitions, disposals, re-financing and public listings for businesses across technology, life sciences, retail and leisure, professional services and gaming.

Paul is well-known in the region, having held a number of leadership positions during more than two decades as a partner. He works with entrepreneurial mid-market businesses; family and private equity-backed companies working towards an exit or listing. He has been involved as a reporting accountant in the admission of more than 100 companies to AIM and the main market of the London Stock Exchange. He brings expertise and insight for businesses in technology, biotech, life sciences, professional services and B2C sectors.

BDO has also promoted three of its team to partner as the firm continues its commitment to developing and nurturing the best talent in the region. Carole Le Page was appointed as Tax Partner and leads the life sciences tax team for the firm. She advises clients across a range of sectors on all areas of tax, including in relation to funding, M&A transactions, international expansion and shareholder matters.

Lee Coccaro is now a Partner in Global Employer Services, having progressed from joining as a Manager in 2008. He has established and built an expatriate tax practice in the region and is now responsible for expatriate and employment tax services across the Thames Valley & South West.

Maria Mason was named partner in the firm’s business services and outsourcing (BS&O) team. Since joining the firm in 2017, Maria has led and grown BDO’s national payroll team from the Thames Valley and in 2020, was awarded as ‘Influencer of the Year’ at the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals’ Annual Excellence Awards.
