Basingstoke: The Typeface Group director makes Women in Business finals
Natalie Weaving, director of Basingstoke-based PR agency The Typeface Group, has been announced as a finalist in the Women in Business Awards for 2016.
She commented: "Being a finalist feels like recognition for the ethos that the company lives by. Keeping excellent staff motivated means that sometimes you have to step away from traditional working models.
"Our model is quite simple. We offer flexible working terms and set realistic deadlines to ensure that no undue pressure is placed on our employees or freelancers. It is safe to say that it works, we meet client expectations, and our workforce is motivated. We enrich our employees and freelancers by offering training and have an open-office policy. We are energised by the fact that people want to work for us and with us and this reflects outwardly to our clients.
The Typeface team has previously won INSPIRE Business & Mumpreneur awards. Its members include skilled women looking to achieve the holy grail of a 'work-family-life balance'.
The Typeface Group, established in 2012, is an integrated design, digital-communications and PR agency. Founded while Weaving was on maternity leave, the business has given her and managing director Polly Buckland freedom to work while bringing up their children.
