Aylesbury: Parrott & Coales advises Healthlogistics on acquisition of hTrak
Tring-based Healthlogistics, one of the leading providers of e-procurement solutions to the NHS, has acquired hTrak, Australia’s leading supplier of procedure costing and billing solutions.
The team at Parrott & Coales LLP law firm in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, led by Sharon Stone, head of the commercial department, advised on and handled all communications and documentation from the point of offer, through to negotiation and the completion of the acquisition.
The acquisition will allow Healthlogistics and hTrak to combine their product offering and provide NHS Trusts with a unique end-to-end solution for their e-procurement requirements, bringing significant efficiency savings. NHS Trusts will now be able to obtain accurate procedure costing information for each patient, supported by bar code scanning, contract pricing of consumables, auto-replenishment of stock and full track-and-trace, all via the web.
Peter Elwin, joint managing director at Healthlogistics, said: “Acquiring hTrak was hugely important to us because of the transformational impact of our combined expertise, so we needed a highly-skilled commercial legal team that could take us through to success.
"We have worked with Parrott & Coales for some time. Having the professional advice and support of Sharon Stone and her team was invaluable to processing the deal as quickly and seamlessly as possible. Sharon's guidance was second to none and she worked tirelessly to mitigate on all legal matters, so the best outcome could be reached for all parties involved."
The acquisition took place on April 21, 2015. Customers in each country will now deal with one organisation for all of Healthlogistics’ and hTrak’s services. It will also enable the new organisation to leverage its combined master data for products and consumables and develop further solutions as one entity.
