Bromsgrove restaurant and catering group Ascotts is investing in its home patch – the bustling bar, food and shopping area of Aston Fields.

John Truslove property agency has helped Ascotts owner Ben Ascott acquire a site at 2a Middlefield Road to use for offices, storage and staff training.

“We had seen the property had become vacant and was up for sale,” said Ben.

“The property gives us access to an additional five or six car parking spaces and is an investment in our home area of Aston Fields, which is an increasingly popular hub for restaurants, bars and shops.

“We are now looking at further investments around the area as we build the Ascotts brand.”

The 1,402sq ft premises is also providing storage and offices for the business which started with the Fuso Italian restaurant in 2017, before opening the next-door Ascotts street food eaterie and bar in 2019.

The company also has a busy outside catering arm that was delivering 200 to 300 meals a week during the height of Covid.

Ben Truslove, joint managing director at John Truslove, said: “It is good to see a successful business taking the next steps in its growth, with sound investment in property in an increasingly popular area.

“We look forward to working with Ben and the team at Ascotts, helping them continue to expand."

Gordon Jones Solicitors in Rubery acted for Ben Ascott in the acquisition of 2a Middlefield Road.
