Anne Whitaker appointed to board of pharma firm Ergomed as non-executive director

Ergomed PLC, with its UK HQ in Guildford, has announced that Anne Whitaker will join its board in the role of independent non-executive director. The news was unveiled during the pharmaceutical industry service provider’s annual general meeting on Friday.

Anne has worked across the pharmaceutical, biotech and speciality pharma sectors for more than three decades. In that time she has worked in senior executives roles at the likes of GlaxoSmithKline, Synta Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi and Aerami Therapeutics.

She will remain on the board of a number of other global biopharmaceutical companies, including many UK-listed healthcare companies.

Anne's very pleased with the appointment and is excited to get started: "I have witnessed Ergomed's consistent growth in recent years and I am highly excited to be joining a leading provider of specialised services to the pharmaceutical industry. I look forward to working with the Board to continue Ergomed's growth trajectory as we support customers and patients around the world."

Dr. Miroslav Reljanović is the Executive Chairman of Ergomed. He had this to say about Anne's new role at the company: "Anne has an excellent track record and extensive global pharmaceutical industry experience and we are delighted to have her joining the Board. I believe that her global network and deep understanding of the pharmaceutical services industry will support the continued growth and strategic development of Ergomed's CRO and PV businesses internationally."

The Ergomed group currently employs more than 1,500 people globally and operates out of 20 offices across the globe, providing its services in around 100 countries in total.
