ActiveOps welcomes return of Emma Salthouse to the software group
ActiveOps plc, the Reading-based software and data firm, said Emma Salthouse, previously head of finance at the company, will become its new chief financial officer (CFO) with effect from December 1 this year.
Ken Smith, the current finance chief, will step down then but remain on a part-time basis for a number of months to oversee an orderly transition.

Salthouse worked at ActiveOps for around five years previously, before joining Forensic Access Limited - a provider of forensic science expertise as its group CFO.
During her time at the company she oversaw the transformation of the accounting processes and was a key member of the finance team during the preparations for its IPO in 2021.
Salthouse, 32, said: "I am thrilled to return to a business and team I know so well.
"ActiveOps has gone from strength to strength in recent years, delivering an acceleration in SaaS growth, from a growing list of blue-chip customers.
"With an expanding product set, the opportunity to build upon that strong foundation is an exciting one and I look forward to working alongside Richard and the team to deliver it," she added.
Chairman Sean Finnan added: "We are delighted Emma has agreed to return to ActiveOps.
"She was a key element in the professionalisation of our finance function in the build up to IPO and brings fantastic drive to the team as well as a deep understanding of our customers, offering and market.
"Ken has been an excellent guardian of our finance operation. The board thanks him for his dedication and for his ongoing support as Emma transitions into the role."
ActiveOps is focused on management process automation (MPA), providing a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform to large enterprises with complex and often global back-offices.
As at the end of March this year, it had 179 employees serving a global customer base of more than 80 enterprise customers from offices in the UK, Ireland, USA, Australia, India and South Africa.
Its customers are mainly in the banking, insurance, healthcare administration and business process outsourcing (BPO) sectors, including Nationwide and DXC Technology.
