Four reasons you should enter to become the Lawyer of the Year

Nominations for the Solent Deals Awards are officially open, and as always there’s an enormous range of awards to be won.

From the Small, Mid-Range and Large Deals of the Year to the Young Dealmaker of the Year, the categories for this annual event are always hotly contested.

One of the most popular awards at any deals event is always the Lawyer of the Year. Sponsored by Pangea Life, this award will be presented to the lawyer who has had the most significant impact on the completion of deals within the region.

But why should you want to win this award? Here are four good reasons:

Show your ability to navigate complex transactions

Our judges will be looking very closely at every nomination we receive for the Lawyer of the Year, and if you want to stand out from the crowd then highlighting the complexity of any transactions you’ve provided legal counsel for is a great way to do it.

Gain recognition for your company

From being posted across the social media pages of us and our sponsors to appearing in the programs, presentations and videos for the night, entering the awards can give your company a lot of valuable exposure.

Be seen as a trusted member of the legal community

Reliability is key in the legal sector, and winning the Lawyer of the Year is a clear way of showing that you’re a go-to choice for potential clients. Rachel Turner from HCR Law, winner of the Lawyer of the Year at the Thames Valley Deals Awards 2023, said that the award was partially thanks to ‘those who trusted me with their deals and their clients’.

Be seen by the biggest names in the Solent region

As always, the upcoming Solent Deals Awards will bring together all the top corporate finance advisers, lawyers, bankers, private equity investors, accountants, funding specialists and management teams in the region. If your nomination is successful, you could be up on stage with the brilliant Mark Durden-Smith in March 2024, receiving this highly coveted award in front of the Solent region’s top players.

Still haven’t submitted your nominations for the Solent Deals Awards?

Head over to the event page now – you won’t want to miss out on the Solent region’s corporate finance event of the year.

This event is generously sponsored by Ellis Jones Solicitors, Paris Smith, Pangea Life, CMA Recruitment Group and Moore Barlow
