The Young Dealmaker of the Year is a uniquely sought-after accolade at any Solent Deals Awards. With every eligible businessperson in the region vying to take home the trophy, it’s always a hotly contested fixture.

To qualify for this award, nominees must be under the age of 35 and should be making notable contributions to the Solent region’s business landscape.

But what should you be focusing on when entering for your chance to win? Here are five things to consider in order to become the Young Dealmaker of the Year:

The Size and Complexity of your Deals

This is your chance to show to the world that you are the best Young Dealmaker in the region. We want to hear all the details of deals you’ve been a part of during the qualifying period – the more impactful, complex and influential the better.

Client Testimonials

This may be your chance to big yourself up, but what really helps your case in the eyes of our independent judges is having testimonials from satisfied clients. If you think you’re doing an unrivalled job in the region, it’s good for us to hear the same opinion from your clients.

Innovation

Our judges are looking for someone who’s making a real impact on the region. Not just someone who’s been doing significant work during the qualifying period, but who’s also going to go on and have a real influence on the Solent’s business landscape in the future. If you’ve been making an innovative use of the resources available to you, we want to know about it.

Communication

If you want to be the Young Dealmaker of the Year at the Solent Deals Awards 2024, you’ve got to be a team player. Your ability to effectively communicate is key, and this goes beyond just you and your clients. Collaboration with other organisations is a vital part of contributing to a healthy business landscape.

Efficiency

It’s all well and good to have tackled some of the most important and intricate deals in the region, but to be the Young Dealmaker of the Year, you need to be able to prove that you’ve tackled them effectively. Your efficiency in completing deals will play a large part in convincing our judges that you deserve to be the one taking home the trophy.

So, think you’ve got what it takes to be a winner at the Solent Deals Awards 2024
