{"id":61602,"date":"2023-03-14T00:51:41","date_gmt":"2023-03-14T00:51:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.businessinnovationmag.co.uk\/?p=61602"},"modified":"2023-06-28T09:20:13","modified_gmt":"2023-06-28T09:20:13","slug":"new-science-museum-exhibit-features-apprentices-from-coventrys-mtc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebusinessmagazine.co.uk\/professional-services\/new-science-museum-exhibit-features-apprentices-from-coventrys-mtc\/","title":{"rendered":"New Science Museum exhibit features apprentices from Coventry\u2019s MTC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new permanent exhibit at London\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencemuseum.org.uk\/home\">Science Museum<\/a> features two apprentices from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-mtc.org\/\">Manufacturing Technology Centre<\/a> (MTC) in Coventry.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Technology Makes it Happen\u2019 exhibit, supported by the David Sainsbury-founded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gatsby.org.uk\/\">Gatsby Foundation<\/a>, is aiming to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to young people.<\/p>\n<p>A video in the exhibit features Kieran Bullivant and Evadney Enock, both MTC Training apprentices who have completed their advanced manufacturing apprenticeships, talking about their training and the opportunities it has created for them.<\/p>\n<p>Having opened at the end of 2022, the exhibit is scheduled to remain at the museum for at least 10 years.<\/p>\n<p>Read more -\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinnovationmag.co.uk\/coventrys-mtc-in-project-to-ramp-up-global-fuel-cell-production\/\" rel=\"bookmark\">Coventry\u2019s MTC in project to ramp up global fuel cell production<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kieran Bullivant, a previous chair of the MTC\u2019s Tilly Shilling Initiative, which aims to encourage diversity and inclusivity in STEM subjects, said: \"We really hope this exhibit will encourage youngsters from all backgrounds into engineering and manufacturing, and an apprenticeship is a great way to start.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cApprenticeships give you hands-on experience with all the freedom of not being in thousands of pounds of debt. As well as being able to learn from the ground up, and get that insider knowledge from those who know it best, your experience makes you such a versatile asset to employers.\"<\/p>\n<p>Evadney Enock said: \"My MTC apprenticeship has allowed me to learn while I earn and has opened up a fantastic career path for me.
