Hospitality software provider three rocks has become a certified B Corporation just a year after launch.

Headquartered in Thame, Oxfordshire, the business now employs a team of 40 with clients including Pizza Hut, TGI Fridays and The Big Table Group.

It’s also boosted turnover more than 30 per cent over the past 12 months.

B Corp certification puts three rocks among a group of more than 2,000 businesses across the UK which meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance.

Scott Muncaster, managing director of three rocks, said: “We’ve always strived to put people at the heart of everything we do.

“Given our desire to want to do business better for the benefit of people, the B Corp movement felt like a natural step to further improve the way we positively contribute to our society and environment.

“Working within hospitality alongside some of the sector’s leading organisations, we understand that the environment plays a critical role in the continued success and longevity of the industry.

“This is why almost as soon as we launched the brand, we began working on becoming a certified B Corp, and now our goal is to continue improving to maintain certification when we’re reassessed in 2027.”

Key changes made by the company to achieve certification included updating Articles of Association to formalise the commitment of the Board to add meaningful value beyond profit-making activities, as well as revising and improving business policies and procedures.

Matt Rawlins, chief technology officer at three rocks, added: “We’re extremely proud of everyone within the business for reaching this milestone so early in the company's life.

“We’ve already seen the benefits of striving to become B Corp certified by being more mindful and deliberate in our actions around customer stewardship, environmental impact and equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), to name but a few.

“However, being a B Corp doesn’t mean we can take our foot off the gas, and we’re committed to continuously improving.”
