Newbury-based Cogent Distribution Ltd said it has boosted its wireless offering with the addition of Israeli manufacturer RADWIN’s cutting-edge 60GHz mmWave TerraNet solution.

The solution from RADWIN allows seamless performance even in crowded spectrum environments and provides vital gigabit services to improve urban security, expand rural Wi-Fi availability, and enhance gigabit backhaul infrastructure, said the Berkshire firm.

It represents a powerful addition to Cogent Distribution's portfolio delivering secure, ultra-fast, low-latency gigabit connectivity over short distances of up to 1km using the 60GHz band, which is perfect for high-density urban environments, last-mile access, and enterprise networking.

The solution provides up to 2.3Gbps throughput with full V-band support of 57-71GHz (Channels 1-6) in line with Ofcom regulations.

Jim Kernahan, managing director at Cogent Distribution, said: "As we enter the third year of our successful master distributorship with RADWIN, we're much looking forward to continuing to work closely together as RADWIN develops their product line, bringing more best-in-class connectivity solutions to market."

Yaron Ziv, RADWIN’s managing director Europe and the Middle East, added: “RADWIN is proud to collaborate with Cogent Distribution in bringing the TerraNet Series, including the V120 and V40 products, to market.

"This partnership reflects our shared commitment to deliver innovative wireless solutions that address the growing demand for high-speed, reliable connectivity."

RADWIN is a global provider of broadband wireless solutions, which have been deployed in more than 180 countries and have a proven track record of delivering connectivity for mission-critical applications in industries such as transportation, mining, ports, and public safety, as well as backhaul and private network connectivity.
