Magnificent 7: Life Sciences and Health Tech Companies on the TV 250 Ranking

Magnificent 7: Life Sciences and Health Tech Companies on the TV 250 Ranking
22 April 2025

The Thames Valley is one of the most vibrant regions for Life Sciences and Health Technology businesses in the UK.

We’re looking to celebrate this fact by naming the Life Sciences and Health Tech Company of the Year at the upcoming Thames Valley Tech & Innovation Awards 2025.

Sponsored by Knights plc, this award will be presented to the nominee who is best able to demonstrate the success, innovation and progress they’ve seen during the qualifying period.

With the region being home to so many incredible eligible organisations, we’ve picked just seven from our Thames Valley 250 Ranking who could be in with a chance of taking home the trophy:

Blatchford

Proud to be ‘creating the future’ through the unwavering pursuit of breakthrough technologies, Blatchford is a leading multi-award winning manufacturer of some of the world’s most advanced prosthetic technology devices. Operating across the globe, the company has spent the last 130 years building valuable relationships directly with the people who use their artificial lower limbs.

SquareHealth

With services powered by extensive IT and medical expertise, SquareHealth builds bespoke and white-labelled mobile healthcare solutions to meet the requirements of its customers. Founded by a team of doctors who also have a deep understanding of the complex requirements of the insurance industry, the company offers an expansive range of medtech capabilities.

deSoutter Medical

A leading European manufacturer of surgical power tools, deSoutter Medical produces first class, cost effective surgical power tools that keep them ahead of the curve in the rapidly changing global healthcare market. Effective in everything from neurosurgery and autopsies to arthroscopy and cardiothoracic surgery, their tools could make them strong candidates for the Life Sciences and Health Tech Company of the Year.

InHealth Group

Working with hospitals and commissioners across the NHS and independent sector to make healthcare better, High Wycombe’s InHealth Group is driven by the core values of trust, passion, care and fresh thinking. From diabetic eye and lung cancer screening to MRIs and ultrasounds, the group offers a large range of services from more than 800 locations across the country.

Immunocore

Renowned pioneers of the world’s first TCR therapy, Immunocore strives to radically improve outcomes for patients with cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmune diseases. Boasting a diverse pipeline of bispecific therapies across a broad range of indications, including multiple cancers, HIV and HBV, the company has developed a number of strong partnerships in the Thames Valley region.

Oxford PharmaGenesis

Home to a team of incredible medical communications professionals, Oxford PharmaGenesis has been analysing and communicating data for more than 20 years. Helping its clients to accelerate the adoption of evidence-based innovations for patients in areas of unmet medical need, the organisation has grown enormously to become the largest independently owned and financed company in the healthcare communications sector.

Owen Mumford

Backed by more than 70 years of invaluable experience, Woodstock’s Owen Mumford is a global leader in medical device design and manufacturing. Having built a global presence and continuing to build upon its rich history of designing and manufacturing high-quality medical devices, the business is driven to improve the quality of life for people with chronic conditions and other healthcare needs.

There are countless companies using their medical expertise to improve the lives of people in the Thames Valley and beyond, but only one of them can be named the Life Sciences and Health Tech Company of the Year.

So, do you think you’ve got what it takes to be named among the region’s best-of-the-best at the Thames Valley Tech & Innovation Awards 2025?
