It’s time to gear up for the HCR Cyber Conference this September

How can we really learn to defend against cyber-attacks? As part of Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ Cyber Conference in September, you will have the chance to attend a live hacking demonstration and witness what happens during a security breach by ethical hacker, Mike G.
In HCR’s largest virtual event yet, The Cyber Conference will bring together experts and business leaders from across the country alongside risk advisory and technology lawyers from 21- 23 September.
Industry leaders, including speakers from the National Cyber Security Centre, Professor Pete Burnap of Cardiff University and Vijay Rathour of Grant Thornton, will deliver first-rate presentations and panel discussions on all things cyber – from data breaches and cyber insurance to managing crypto assets.
HCR’s own legal experts in cyber and technology will also take centre stage, including Head of Technology Nicola McNeely, formerly of the Royal Mint and now start-up mentor for business accelerator BetaDen.
Speakers joining HCR’s cross-sector panel include Steven Murray, cyber-security author Professor Dan Hyde, and tech specialist Nathan Evan, plus many more.
The event will cover key themes that have dominated the cyber world during the pandemic, with one of the biggest trends being security and working from home.
Delegates will gain a solid understanding of how to protect their own and their business’ data, and how to avoid being in the firing line of cyber threats.
Krissy Scott, Head of HCR’s office in Cheltenham, said: “Now is the time for businesses to be equipped with the best technological defences. This will be the firm’s largest virtual event yet and the quality of speakers means there will be something for everyone.
“Whether your interests are personal or business-related, the Cyber Conference will help you to minimise the risk of cyber threats; it promises to be an invaluable event.”
Individual sessions will be bookable over the conference dates of 21 September to 23 September. Once we have confirmed your place we will email you with instructions on how to build your personalised agenda in our conference platform, Swapcard.
