Five features of the Innovative Tech of the Year

In the current climate of tech, innovation is the name of the game.
With companies across the country working tirelessly to push boundaries and create fresh solutions to the sector’s emerging challenges, we’re looking to shine a light on some of the incredible work taking place in the Thames Valley.
As part of the Thames Valley Tech & Innovation Awards 2025, we’ll be naming the Innovative Tech of the Year.
Sponsored by Blake Morgan LLP, this award will be presented to the nominee making the most innovative use of technology within their business. Our independent judges will assess various attributes that distinguish a technology as innovative.
If your specialisation lies in AI/ML, blockchain, smart IoT, edge computing, robotics, quantum, virtual and augmented reality or any other field of innovative technology, then this is the platform to acknowledge and celebrate your impact on the regional tech market.
But with companies across the Thames Valley eligible to enter for the chance to take home the trophy, what will our overall winner look like?
Here are five features we’ll be looking for when naming the Innovative Tech of the Year:
Novelty
Our independent judges are on the hunt for something truly incredible to stand out from the crowd. That won’t be possible without taking risks and producing something unlike anything we’ve seen in this category before.
Problem-Solving Proficiency
While we’ll be looking at every step of production from design to delivery, it’s crucial that you can show that your tech tackles the problem it set out to solve. Tell us how your entry will be the most influential to the Thames Valley tech sector as a whole.
Measurable Results
This is a golden opportunity to shout about your business, and the best way to do that is by including the facts and figures that make your product so impressive. Tell us all about how your tech is changing the world, and make sure you’ve got the stats to back it up!
Sustainability
Another vital focus in the modern tech sector, as with most other sectors, is sustainability. We need to know that our winner has carried out some exceptional work with environmental health in mind. Whether you’ve integrated renewable energy sources into your production process or made use of sustainable materials, make sure to include it in your nomination form.
Scalability
The title of Innovative Tech of the Year won’t just go to the company who’s shone the brightest during the qualifying period - our independent judges are searching for a winner with an equally bright future. Spare no details when describing how you plan to continue your growth trajectory well into the future.
So, do you think you’ve got what it takes to be named among the region’s best-of-the-best at the Thames Valley Tech & Innovation Awards 2025?
Nominations for this highly anticipated event are still open for a limited time, with entries closing on the 25th of April.
Entering the awards online is straightforward, absolutely free, and can be done here.
We’ll be naming the Fintech Company of the Year, High Growth Tech Company of the Year, IT Solutions Provider of the Year, Tech Employer of the Year and more - don’t miss out on the chance to seize this unique opportunity for you and your business.
