AFC Bournemouth partners with local cybersecurity firm ESET
AFC Bournemouth has named ESET as its official cybersecurity partner as the club gears up for the new Premier League season.
ESET, with its UK headquarters in Bournemouth, will provide cybersecurity services to the club and help protect its digital infrastructure.
The partnership comes as AFC Bournemouth finalises its new world-class training ground, which, along with 350 club devices, will be protected by ESET’s PROTECT Elite package with Detection and Response Ultimate services.
This ensures players, fans and the club’s new facilities are safeguarded around the clock by ESET’s threat detection team.
Stefan du Plooy, head of IT at AFC Bournemouth, expressed excitement over the partnership: “AFC Bournemouth is at a very exciting point in its history.
“This season represents a new era for the club, and working alongside expert partners like ESET is crucial for safeguarding our investments, players, and fans.”
This new partnership builds on a five-year relationship between the club and ESET, which has seen them collaborate on several initiatives.
These include the Safer Kids Online initiative, which educates pupils about online safety, as well as support for the AFC Bournemouth women’s football team.
ESET also contributes to digital matchday content for the men’s team and sponsors matchday streams for non-first team fixtures.
Matt Knell, UK country manager at ESET, added: “We’ve developed a strong, trusted relationship with AFC Bournemouth over the past five years.
“This new stage in our alliance is a fantastic opportunity to ensure the team can focus entirely on their performance on the pitch, while we handle the defence off it.”
