Bath based independent legal practice, Whitworth Law, has appointed lawyer, Samantha Taylor to lead the probate arm of the team.

Samantha, who lives in Bath, said: “I’m excited to be joining the team here at Whitworth Law."

Samantha, who joins as a Senior Associate, will be working alongside David Whitworth, who founded Whitworth Law in 2021 and Jenny Davies, David’s Executive PA.

Samantha graduated from Cardiff University with a first class honours degree and, before joining Whitworth Law, she worked at Stone King and Mowbray Woodwards in Bath. In October 2016 she completed her post-graduate diploma in law and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

With more than 10 years’ experience, Samantha is a specialist in probate and estate administration. In her new role at Whitworth Law she will lead the Probate and Estate Administration Department which deals with a variety of estates, including high net worth and those of a more complex nature.

Whitworth Law, based in Queen Square, specialises in wills, probate, estate planning and trusts and is led by established and highly regarded private client specialist, David Whitworth, who for many years was head of Wills, Trusts and Probate at Mowbray Woodwards.

David said: “We are a small friendly highly experienced team who prioritise communication and approachability over all else.

“I am delighted to welcome Samantha to the team. Her excellent knowledge and wealth of experience in this area of law will ensure our clients are fully supported when dealing with complex and life-changing issues.”

Estate administration is the process of dealing with a deceased person’s assets, debts, and taxes before distributing the inheritance to the beneficiaries as directed in the will.
