Bristol-based Meeting Place, a specialist built-environment PR agency, has made a number of new appointments.

Established in 2006, the company works with clients across the built environment to deliver positive change for new development through planning communications, public relations and social impact.

The changes see Nikki Davies (former MD) appointed as CEO, George Beard (former Deputy MD) as COO, and Head of PR and Joel Fayers (former director for East of England) as Head of Planning Communications.

Since the pandemic, the agency has launched a dedicated PR and social impact consultancy for clients and expanded its design and digital offering. The recent expansion has seen the agency’s headcount rise from 29 in 2021 to 48 in 2024, coupled with a doubling of annual turnover over the same period.

The news follows an 18 per cent boost in like-for-like revenues over the last financial year, supported by several new client wins and a growing team.

In May, Meeting Place ranked 121st in PRWeek UK’s Top 150 - a barometer of the country’s biggest agencies (up from 128 in 2023) - and in the top 20 for the fastest headcount growth as a percentage of revenue (£3m+).

CEO Nikki Davies said: “With our revenue and headcount growth, we’re excited the structural changes we’re making can build on our success to date and capitalise on future opportunities.

“Whether in innovation, renewables, housing or infrastructure, clients are making positive noises about sector confidence post-election. With greater certainty, investment and planning reform expected early in the new Parliament, we believe a boost in confidence will allow us to push further into other regions and realise our ambitious growth plans.”
