Welcome Building one of only three in Bristol to get top energy efficiency marks

The Welcome Building, a new workspace in Bristol, has achieved a five-star energy efficiency rating from NABERS – one of only three buildings in the city to do so.
NABERS ranks office spaces across the UK on a scale from one to six stars based on their energy performance.
Designed by Darling Associates Architects and delivered jointly by Tristan Capital Partners and Trammell Crow Company, the 207,000 sq ft Welcome Building is described as an ‘all-electric workspace’ with roof-mounted solar panels and sustainably sourced heating.
It’s also targeting a BREEAM Outstanding rating for sustainability.
Toby Pentecost, senior vice president and head of UK offices at Trammell Crow Company, said: “When creating the Welcome Building, we set out to deliver a sustainable, exceptional-quality, occupier-focused environment that would be sustainable and promote wellbeing.
“We wanted to ensure that it was also efficient in operation, minimising its impact on the environment for the long-term.
“The NABERS rating of five stars demonstrates our commitment to not only achieve that goal but sets the bar high for others to follow – not just in the South West but across the UK.”
Knight Frank and Alder King are leasing agents for the building.
