Vistry due to finish 672-home Shinfield development this year
The final homes at a new neighbourhood on the edge of Shinfield, Berkshire are due for completion this year.
Vistry Group is building 672 new homes at the site under its Bovis Homes and Linden Homes brands, with all but 35 properties now completed.
As well as 562 homes for private sale, 110 properties are allocated for low-cost rent or shared ownership as agreed with the local authority.
Work is underway on the final plots, and with construction due for completion by December, there are just two properties yet to be sold.
Amber Bowley, regional sales director for Vistry in the Thames Valley, said: “We’ve delivered hundreds of homes for the local area at Shinfield Meadows since work started here back in 2017.
“The properties we have built are part of a wider new community of approximately 1,000 homes to the west of Shinfield which is now a well-established and thriving neighbourhood.
“Allotments opened in 2019 followed by a new primary school in 2020, while a supermarket is due to open soon.
“There’s also extensive green open space on the doorstep, and we’ve planted new trees and plants across the development, as well as providing ecological measures such as gaps in fences for hedgehogs to roam freely and installing bat and bird boxes.
“We’re on track to finish on site by the end of this year and are looking forward to welcoming residents into the final homes as they are completed.”
The final properties for sale at Shinfield Meadows are all five-bedroom Bovis Homes, with prices starting from £699,000.
