Tewkesbury Borough Council approves plans for homes near M5
Tewkesbury Borough Council has approved a new build housing development on the outskirts of the town.
Barratt David Wilson Homes South West has received permission for a new 102-home scheme at ‘Fiddington Fields’ in Ashchurch which will include a mix of private and social housing. The development will feature a mix of three, four and five bedroom properties.
The development is part of a consortium site which is a five-minute drive from J9 of the M5, situated near Barratt Homes Bristol’s soon-to-launch 460-home development of the same name, and is set within 26 acres of open space land north of Milnes Covert.
Barratt Homes Bristol and Barratt David Wilson Homes South West’s overall community benefits delivered through the S106 agreement include in excess of £430,000 towards libraries, a new primary school and community building and play areas including sports pitches. The overall development will also include allotments.
The first homes should be available for sale next Spring.

The town of Tewkesbury is just two miles away from Fiddington Fields while the M5 and Ashchurch train station can be reached in under ten minutes. The development is a 10-minute walk away and the Cotswold Designer Outlet which is due to launch spring 2025.
